Vale Queen Elizabeth II (1926 - 2022)

Overnight, Buckingham Palace announced the very sad news of the passing of our beloved Sovereign and Head of State, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Elizabeth has been the only Sovereign I’ve known, and as Her Majesty steadfastly demonstrated throughout her life, her unwavering commitment to her country, the Commonwealth, her citizens and the public has been a shining example, not only to me personally, but to many people throughout the world.

As the Queen herself once said “My whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service.”
Personally, I’d like to thank you Ma’am, not only for your service, but thank you for all you’ve done and shown us all over your 70 years as our Queen and Sovereign.

As a further example of our Queens devotion to her duty and people, Queen Elizabeth steadfastly worked until the end, as only a few short days ago, the Queen welcomed her 15th Prime Minister at Balmoral. In that photo, whilst our Queen clearly wasn’t well, with a huge smile, our Queen welcomed Liz Truss.

As our Queen always said “Each Day is a new beginning, and I put my trust in God” and personally, I couldn’t agree more.
As a final footnote, I will always remember this “When life seems hard, the courageous do not lie down and accept defeat, instead, they are all the more determined to struggle for a better future.”

Thank You Ma’am
