Philip & Terri join Lions Club of Wanneroo

24th October, 2022

Whilst Terri and I have been long-standing members of Lions for a very long time now, the times now come to change our home club to the area in which we live, as this allows us to continue to serve our local community, in which we are both significantly involved.

On the 12 September, we were privileged to speak to our District Governor Darren Blackburn and Past District Governor Colin Heap on many issues, including those affecting Lions in WA, within Australia and internationally.

As a result, Terri and I have now transferred our membership to the Lions Club of Wanneroo.

Throughout our time, we have both been privileged to hold various Board and Executive roles within our Club, District, and on our Australian Charities, which has been an immense honour indeed.

Another role I’ve really cherished is as an Australian Representative to the United Nations, both in Geneva and New York as I’ve seen firsthand the work our NGO, as the world’s largest volunteer organisation does throughout the world. This work has enabled me to advocate on many issues, and I am very appreciative of the relationships I’ve been able to form throughout the world.

Thank you President Paul Miles, Secretary Sue McDonald and all Lions Club of Wanneroo members for making us feel very welcome.
