Philip Congratulates City of Wanneroo Councillors

On behalf of our family, Philip and Terri would like to congratulate Dominic Zappa and Hugh NGuyen for their re-election as councillors in the City of Wanneroo elections last night.

Whilst they were unable to be at the count and congratulate Dominic and Hugh in person last night, due in part to both volunteering along with the Mayors of Joondalup and Wanneroo and others at the 10th annual Joondalup/ Wanneroo Relay for Life at Arena Joondalup.

Relay for Life is held annually to raise funds to find a cure for cancer, and for our children and future generations to never have to hear the words "you have cancer" again. With the statistics indicating 1 in 3 females, and 1 in 2 males will be diagnosed with cancer at some time in their lives, the work and dedication of our volunteers in raising much needed funds to continue with our medical research is never more pressing, and personally both Philip and Terri, along with their Lions Club of Whitford who managed the catering for the event are pleased to be part of the team, and this event.

Philip and Terri would also like to personally thank everyone that voted for Philip. They don't take your trust lightly as receiving your vote is a tremendous honour and one that their family and they very much appreciate. Philip looks forward to following with interest how our councillors, and particularly our South Ward councillors represent us, and the community in general.

Whilst this was Philip's first ever nomination as a councillor, he very much appreciated all the views, comments and support of those in the community and rest assured all have been taken on board. I look forward to continuing to work with my community, and in serving you in the future.
