Labor's Former Member for Longman knew not eligible

6th June, 2018

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said on Sky News this morning that Labor's former member for Longman knew she wasn't eligible to sit in parliament but stayed and drew her parliamentary salary and entitlements. Our PM also said that Bill Shorten knew this as well.

The Australian people have had enough as this is a very serious issue. If you are in breach of the Australian Constitution and not entitled to sit in our Parliament, then you should not be there and nor being entitled to any parliamentary salary and/ or entitlements.

To all members of Parliament, Australians are angry, and they have every right to be. This isn't politics but fraud against the Australian people. Anyone in this situation must immediately give back the money, entitlements, election funding and be prosecuted if need be.

With news that there's others similarly effected on all sides of politics, Philip supports the establishment of an Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) with broad powers to investigate both politicians and all federal government departments, agencies and all federal government expenditure.

It's time for change Australia
