11-Year-Olds Caught Dealing and Using Drugs

18th June, 2017

Victorian Police Assistant Commissioner Rick Nugent advised the Herald Sun that Victorian school students are in the midst of a major drug epidemic and the number of child users is growing at an alarming rate https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/36043224/victorian-students-battling-drug-addiction-amid-statewide-epidemic/.

With children as young as 11 years old being caught dealing and using drugs, Victoria police advised they have responded to more than 450 drug offences on school grounds since January 2014.

Philip stated our children are our future, and as such, they need to be protected from the scourge of drugs. With worrying figures showing that police investigated 166 drug offences in Victorian Schools in 2016 alone, and with Ketamine, LSD and ice being just some of the dangerous narcotics found on Victorian teenagers, the issue concerning drugs is affecting far too many in our community.

Philip calls for urgent action to combat the problem that is drugs, and as a community we must stand united against drugs, and to the damage drugs does to the person, their family, friends and loved ones.

We cannot lose the fight against drugs.
